MA Attorney General Andrea Campbell presented the award during a ceremony in the State House
.
This bill was passed with the abiding efforts and support of Middlesex D.A. Marian Ryan, House Judiciary Committee Chair Mike Day, Speaker Ron Mariano, and Minority Leader Bruce Tarr who sponsored and fought for this bill in the Senate, and Governor Maura Healey who signed H4350 into law.
We are all grateful to MOVA and the many brave survivors – from the athletes in the headlines to hopeful parents and vulnerable patients – all of whom have put a spotlight on this issue and work to advance victims’ rights.
