Legislators present OARS with funds for water quality monitoring

Rep. Hogan and Sen. Eldridge joined volunteers at the Maynard Ice House Landing for OARS‘  38th Annual River Clean-Up.

The legislators presented an FY25 Annual Budget earmark of $30,000.00 to OARS for water quality monitoring along the Assabet River.

They were also also delighted to present Alison Field-Juma with legislative citations for her 20 years of service at the Organization for the Assabet, Sudbury and Concord Rivers – OARS as a Director of Policy, as well as Executive Director, before stepping into a Policy Advisor role this spring. Our Rivers are cleaner because of Alison’s abiding leadership and the mission and stewardship of OARS.
